Yes. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Your answers, letters, and voice recordings are only accessible to you and the people you explicitly invite. We never sell your data or share it with third parties.

Only you and the people you personally invite. Each receiver gets their own unique link and can only see what you have chosen to share. No one at Kept Word can read your content.

Your answers and letters are preserved even after cancellation. You can return and reactivate anytime. Voice recordings are retained on the same basis so the people you have shared with can still hear you.

Yes. In Settings you can request a full account deletion. We use a 30-day grace period so accidental deletion is recoverable. After the grace period, your account and the data we hold for it are removed from our active systems. See our Privacy Policy for details on backups and retention.

Memorial Mode is a setting that can be activated by your Legacy Keeper after you have passed. It preserves your Space forever, places a memorial banner over it for the people you love, and continues to let them hear your voice and read your letters. It does not change any of the content you have left behind.

The AI learns from the answers you write and the voice you record. The more you share, the better it understands your tone, values, and way of expressing yourself. It draws only from what you have actually written and recorded. It does not invent or assume.

No. The AI is specifically designed to draw only from your answers and letters. If it does not have information about a topic, it will say so honestly rather than fabricate a response.

Responses are grounded in your exact words and experiences. The AI stays true to what you have shared. The more questions you answer, the richer and more accurate the experience becomes for your loved ones.

You can write your answers in any language and the AI will respond in kind. Voice capture works best with English but supports multiple languages through our voice provider.

Yes. Family members can have open conversations with your Space, asking questions and exploring your stories naturally. The AI responds as you, drawing entirely from your recorded answers and letters.

In Voice Studio you record five short scripts, about one to two minutes each. We use those recordings to create a preserved version of your voice. From then on, your family members can hear your responses spoken in your actual voice rather than a generic text-to-speech voice.

Yes. You can return to any question and update your answer as many times as you like. Your memories evolve, and your Space should too.

You share a personal link with them directly from your Space. They do not need to create an account or pay anything. Family members never pay. Access is always included in your plan.

Letters are messages you write for specific moments in your loved ones' future: a wedding day, a graduation, a hard season, or simply a birthday. You can set them to deliver on a specific date or leave them open to be discovered whenever the time feels right.

Yes. You can attach photos to your answers and letters, and you can add standalone photos to your Space. Photos appear alongside your written memories and help bring your stories to life for the people who receive them.

There are 100 questions across 10 categories covering your childhood, relationships, values, hard times, proudest moments, and advice you would pass on. New questions unlock as you answer so it never feels overwhelming. You answer at your own pace.

Not at all. Kept Word is designed to be simple and guided. You answer one question at a time, in your own words, at your own pace. If you can write a text message, you can use this.

You can complete your first answer in under five minutes. Most people find a rhythm of answering a few questions a week. There is no rush. Your Space grows with you over time.

Yes. Kept Word Free is permanent. It includes 20 questions per month, 5 voice answers per month, 2 letters total, and 10 chat messages per day with our default voice. You can stay on Free for as long as you want. Upgrade to Legacy when you are ready to record with your own voice and remove the question limits.

No. Your Space is built gradually. Answer what feels right today and come back whenever you are ready. Many people treat it like a journal, a few minutes here and there over weeks or months.

Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime from Settings with no penalty. Your answers and letters remain safe and preserved even after cancellation. See our Refund Policy for details on what cancellation does and does not include.

You can purchase a gift subscription from the Pricing page. The recipient receives an email with a redemption code they can activate anytime. It is a meaningful gift for a parent, grandparent, or anyone with a story worth preserving.
